Friends of the Clinton Township Public Library

About the

The Friends of the Clinton Township Public Library was established in 1987 to promote and aid the library and its programs. To raise money, the Friends hold used book sales.  The Friends generally meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 4 pm in the library's meeting room. Anyone interested in supporting the library is welcome and invited to become a Friend of the Library.

Membership is $5.00 per year for an individual/couple/family; or a $100 lifetime payment. This can be dropped off at the library, attention Friends of CTPL.

Book Sales

Have you been missing the Friends First Saturday Book Sales?  Are you running out of reading materials?  Are prices of new books too high?

The Friends of Clinton Township Public Library miss seeing all of our friendly shoppers and avid readers.  We've enjoyed serving those of you who have shopped our "By Appointment" sales. As Covid Restrictions are lifted, the Friends are working on a new PLAN! We want to go back to First Saturday Sales. We are hoping to have a plan in place within a couple of months.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions and the need to protect both our valued shoppers and dedicated Friends volunteers, we currently welcome shoppers to the book sale room with limits and requirements.  We thank you for your understanding and patience.  We hope our shopping environment will allow even the most cautious reader to feel safe and welcome.

In keeping with the Clinton Township Public Library Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response Plan, masks must be properly worn (covering both nose and mouth) throughout your visit to the book sale.

Please make an appointment to shop our sale! Each half hour time slot can accommodate up to four individual shoppers.

We offer sign up times on Tuesday afternoons (1pm – 3pm) and every other Saturday (10am – 12pm).  Select a time slot most convenient to you, then click Submit and Sign Up.  Please include the number in your party (if all one family, comment 'family'). If you include your email address, we can contact you if conditions change.  We won't share your email address with anyone and, in fact, it will be deleted when your shopping date is past.

If you would prefer, you may send an email requesting a time (or asking questions you may have) to
