Tonda Lobenherz

Mary, while originally from California, has lived in Clinton since 2011. She has worked at the Clinton Township Public Library since 2019 and has been Director since 2023. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Library and Information Sciences at Wayne State University.


"What is your favorite part of working at the library?"
Tonda: Story time! I love the kids and engaging with them with stories, making those early literacy connections.

"What is your favorite book?"
Tonda: Too many to name. The Little Prince. Dragons Love Tacos. Little Women. Where the Wild Things Are. All the Hunger Games books. Middlesex. A Love Song for Rickie Wilde. Knuffle Bunny. ALL THE BOOKS!



"Why do you work at CTPL?"
Tonda: Because I love books, encouraging literacy, supportive community, and the awesome coworkers and library regulars.
"What is your favorite season?"
Tonda: Fall!
